I candled 2 of them tonight, only because they are in with my Silkie eggs, and I candled them tonight. Out of the two Jersey Giants on Day 3, I SAW AN EYE ON ONE!!!

The other one I can't tell yet. It is pretty dark brown.

Well it is day 6 and I did my first candling with the help of a great friend, Nursecat9. Out of the 40 eggs only 5 died in the first week. One was mine and the other 4 were shipped eggs. So out of 31 shipped eggs with only 4 bad I am quite excited. I will candle again at day 12 and update this post. Born to hatch! I truly believe this is a disease with no known cure.

I had to remove 6 of the eggs to make room for shipped eggs- but the lone full moon egg is looking textbook!

Praying first batch of shipped eggs arrive tomorrow; and second batch by Monday. All in time for the next hatching by the moon date. Need all the luck I can get on these.

So...set by the moon...out of 25 eggs, 24 are going strong....just crazy!! These are shipped eggs too...never had that kinda luck...must be something to this!!!

Candled mine last night and my 10 D'Uccle eggs all are going strong. My Silkies eggs went through a rough trip to get here, even of it was only one state away, out of the 21 only about 5 are showing anything, and of those most air cells are detached. I will be surprised if I get any of them. I am happy all the D'Uccle eggs are growing great.

I candled mine last night too. It looks like I have 17 good ones out of 26 Jersey Giants. I didn't toss any yet, though, because they are pretty dark brown, and it's hard to tell for sure.
