I've been ultra low carb (less than 40g/day/ for 9 years due to type 2 diabetes- I don't take meds if I can avoid it, and it's worked very well. My blood sugar is in the normal range, but I have no hair. I have been shaving my head since 2003 so diet had nothing to do with it lol. I'm in my late 50's and my doc hates me; I eat protein and fats but my labs are those of a much younger, fitter man.
