My speckled Sussex loves playing hide and seek with her eggs. I really don't. She once made a nest of 6 in an old dry mud hoofptint from our horses.

Welcome to BYC!My one hen has been a bit mischievous since she started laying this year. She was at one point trying to lay eggs behind a tarp covering my woodpile, and recently I found three eggs under the pallet I had covering my below ground fire pit.
She's a troublemaker but luckily she's predictable. It was the second place I looked when o hadn't seen her white eggs in three days. She lays an egg a day.
