My March-hatch cockerels are starting to think about harassing hens.

This morning I saw Ludwig disciplining one of the young upstarts. Then he spotted a hen being mated on the other side of the pen and rushed over in a flurry ...

Only to stop short when he saw that it was Rameses, the senior cockerel who is his partner and sidekick.

It was like he let out a sigh, "Oh, it's just you, buddy."

Of course my hands were full with a bowl of melon guts I was bringing to them so no pictures.
