Very cute.....Just wanted to mention that newspaper is very slippery, and can result in splayed legs in chicks that have just hatched......I would just use the shavings, or paper towel if you really feel you need to put something underneath.......

Chicks are so funny they will be running all around and then suddenly plop and fall asleep minutes later their back up again.....

Mine are 3 weeks old and sleep like that, I always have to look twice to make sure their still breathing.

The first time we came home to find our pullets layed out like that, all lined up on our driveway in a neat little row, we cried. We believed they were dead, and somebody layed them in a row. Then they woke up and came running to greet us, as usual, looking for treats....

I bet your baby will be a pro sunbather too!
