Funny story (:

Thank you for those links. The sad part is, my mom is pretty set against having them. She didnt understand at first why we couldnt just leave them but I finally convinced her to at least let me look for someone to take them.

You might get in touch with Carolina water fowl rescue they are south of charlotte, tell thm what has happened and that you can't take them in and maybe they will find someone who can take them and give them a home. You can look online for their web site.
sorry mom won't let you have them..

Right now, my mom is sick so she doesn't want to make any lasting decisions so I'm just gonna keep feeding them and try to keep them safe until she gets better. Then if she says no, I could either send them to a BYC member who's willing to take them, or contact the Carolina Waterfowl Rescue. I'll definitely keep you all up to date on what's going on and what my mom says. Thanks :)

I'm sorry to hear your moms sick, hope it's not serious... and I think you are showing alot of strength by doing what you can for these ducks.. I hope you can find a good home for them either with you or someone who loves ducks.

Thank you. She just keeps minor colds for weeks at a time but she's been to the doc so she should be better soon. I've always loved ducks but never had the opportunity to have any but hopefully they will go to a good home even if I can't keep them. I am so thankful for this website, it's helped me through my first two weeks with chicks and you all are so nice and patient with newbies.

Well we're all learning from each other, and if I have a problem I know i can come here for advise or someone will point me in the right direction, I am very thankful to have found BYC also. Do you go on the NC thread? there are some nice folks there too. Its on the "where am I where are you" then look up North Carolina.
