Not to hijack the thread, but what kind of duck is the one on the right in this pic? I have one exactly like it and I don't know what breed she is, she was supposed to be a pekin.

No problem, you aren't hijacking it. I'm not sure, but I'm thinking a Runner mix. There could be perkin in there, I'm not sure. But there is runner in there.

2cd duckling just born @ 6:46am today and the 3rd one very soon here after!! All the eggs but 1 that weren't piped last night are now piped!! So far 7 babies are for sure on their way into this world!! So far, the 2 are in perfect shape, perfect structure, ect. So far, no more birth defects!! The 3rd duckling very well may be born before I take my boys to school.

I'm such a nut job and proudly admit it!

But the 4th baby is starting to zip now!! This is so exciting!!!!!

I'm really glad to see this happening quickly because we are under a Tornado Watch right now and thing are going to get a little hairy later. My dh video taped "HIS" duckling hatching last night to take back to Afghanistan.

So glad to read that things are going better for you this time around. Also great that they have got a move on with hatching so you dont have to worry about them if a storm hits and you loose power. Well done and congrats!

2 more just hatched!! 8:04am, and 8:06am, all normal, all healthy, all without deformities!! So far 4 babies born, 3 to continue to zip, and 1 is questionable because the whole area around the air sac is getting really dark and there is no pip at all. So, I won't be at all surprised if that one isn't alive. There has been no rocking with that one. I"m an extremely happy, happy, person!!
