My vet had my duck on Batryil with epsom salt soaks at night then applied DMSO for her mycoplasma in her foot.
Vet said she wanted the Batryil to really take affect by
A) keeping her inside, the warmth was going to aid recovery (we are in Michigan so the nights had been getting cold).
B) give the meds then within 15 minutes of given soaks with a really good warm water. The warmth of the water will allow that Batryil to circulate through the infection to really target the infection.
C) apply Dmso, make sure it’s warm. I would just hold some in my hand to get it warm.
The vet mentioned that she may make a dmso/ Batryil cream to apply to the infection but we never got to that point. The Batryil helped in bringing the infection more to the surface which then she could cut the infection out. And boy did that help, she got a ton out. Before the Batryil when the vet cut open her foot, she was just getting joint fluid. Top two pics are before Batryil, last 3 are after cutting out infection
