"Wait! Where are we going?" Spruce called, scrambling after him. He clumsily launched himself into the air, flapping quickly to catch up with his grandfather.

Cricket flew up to the nest, offering the younger crow half of a mouse. She playfully hopped to the branch that her brother was perched on and nudged him. "What do you look so gloomy about?"

Kid barley knows how to fly. He landed on a bench in the middle of the park. He was silent for a while when Spruce caught up with him, he was deeply in thought. After a long pause, he asked with narrowed eyes: "Which gang?"

Pine took it and greedily gobbled the whole thing down. Dismayed that her beloved sister was talking to someone else and not to her, she proudly remarked: "I saw a raven today! Didn't fly half as well as me!"

"ME ME ME ME!!!!!" Screeched Twig and Sprout in unison, straining their necks and opening their gaping red mouths.

"Barky's gang. Not as strict as Suliver's, and seems to have a pretty big following." Spruce glanced at the sky, studying the clouds. "There's something you need to know, grandpa... I've already joined Barky's gang. Two weeks ago, in fact." He felt bad for lying at first, but he had wanted to see Ronald's initial reaction. "I told Dusty and he wasn't too happy about it."

Frog opened his beak to reply when the chicks started screaming.
"Dad'll be back soon, there's no need to shriek." Cricket tried to comfort them, hopping forward to look down at the chicks. "Frog, go get some berries or something for them."
"Why me?" Frog protested. He just wanted to preen his feathers in peace. "Anyway, mom and dad are looking for food and should be back any time now!"
Cricket rolled her eyes at him, smirking at his complaining. "They want food now. And I just brought something back; it's your turn." She stated smugly.

Aspen could've sworn she heard some bird talking.... She swooped to the ground and started looking around, confused
Frog, who had reluctantly flown away in order to find some food, spotted the raven on the ground. He swooped at her, much like a gull swooping for a fry in someone's hand. "Get away from here, you egg-stealing pest!" He spat.

"......WHAAAAAT?!" He roared, pecking him swiftly on the top of the head. "You good for nothing..dream chasing...Crow loving..IDIOT!!!" Masking his grief with anger, he turned away breathing hard, took a moment to collect himself, and then turned back round sharply. "WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO TELL YOUR GRANDMOTHER! SHE'S WORRIED ENOUGH 'BOUT YOU AS IT IS!" Finally calming down, he sighed and looked at his Grandson with sorrowful eyes.

Sprout calmed down, but Twig would not relent. "But I want food NOOOOOW!!!!" His voice sounded like a creaking door opening. Pine winced.

Cricket then turned to Pine. "Really?" She asked, her interest showing in her eyes. "I haven't found one to harass for a while." She mused.
Pine's eyes sparkled and she got very excited. "Yeah!!! I saw it near that creek where we catch fish." She puffed up her chest. "It looked really wimpy too! I could take it all by myself!"

"Ow!" Spruce yelped, scooting back so the older pigeon couldn't land another blow. "It's not a bad gang!" He protested, adding, "Dusty's in a gang too, and you barely gave him a hard time about it!"

Cricket sighed and tried to listen to Pine over the shrieking chick. "Well, I wouldn't recommend it. You're still kinda..." The older crow glanced at Pine; her chick fluff and gigantic beak making her look like an angry golf ball. "...young."
