Cricket cawed in alarm and tumbled to the ground in a pile of feathers. She laughed as she untangled herself from her friend. Though Cricket was two years old, she preferred the younger crows she knew to the older ones; she thought many were too stuck-up or serious. She grinned at the younger crow, standing up and trying to shake the dust from her feathers. "Finally! After my parents get back, I'm free to do anything. For now, I gotta watch the 'bald ones'." She joked. It was at that moment that Cricket realized she'd left her two youngest siblings alone. "Oh, cat dung," she muttered, "I completely forgot about my brothers!"

"Sure," Frog replied, his voice dripping with sarcasm. "All you ravens are the same; lying back-stabbers." He scoffed, diving at her and actually trying to claw her this time.

Huffing and puffing, Pine finally managed to catch up with Cricket. Seeing this chick, who was apparently trying to take her place, she felt incredibly threatened. She landed on cricket as well, and puffed herself up. "What do YOU want!?"

(from the looks of it seems like you may be conflicting cricket with pine, but maybe I'm just making stuff up)
(Yes, again. But I think this could make things better. I really need to read the refs, wow. They can all be friends. Or enemies??? I think Pine's imagined conflict with Magnolia could work. This is why 2 or more characters is too much during April)
"I was just visiting Cricket! Don't get your feathers ruffled!" Magnolia often acted like she was older than Pine, much to her chagrin. However, Magnolia was still fond of Cricket's little sister, who was much more tolerable than her sister at home.

"He's sending like a bunch of gulls after me? And for what reason? I sat in his precious little bay?" (Ok, italics aren't working right now, bear with me...) This was like the rose garden incident all over again! "Think he's gonna keep following me out to sea?"
"As I said: he's petty and aggressive!" Fish Sticks squawked in dismay. The albatross didn't seem to be taking any of this seriously.
What Fish Sticks didn't know was that Vaatras had been defeated by the pigeons recently, and was placing his anger on another bird that was easier to defeat. The senior gull felt that the only way to uphold his reputation was to go after someone who could be perceived as a threat. Of course, Fish Sticks knew none of this, and continued to pace fearfully.

"Pine! Stop!" Cricket cawed, coming up to her with a smirk trying to tug at the corners of her beak. "Don't make me preen you!"

(Maybe you could make her a few months older? Crow parents generally feed their chicks for a while after they fly, so it would work...)

"Well, if he decides to go after me, I suppose I can always go someplace else. But I only got here. I was really hoping to map the land out before getting chased out of it..." And to grab a bite... Riski scanned the water below him, and came back up with a little fish, and gulped it down in his big yellow beak, still on the wing. With a sharp eye, he glanced at the horizon, where he could still see gulls swarming.

"Hmph." She narrowed her eyes. "Well go visit someone else!" She pecked her on the head, not in a hard way to hurt her, just to let her know who's in charge.

(maybe..but you can't be Cricket's friend AND Pine's. She won't allow that, at least not right away.)

(Good. Good good.) Magnolia poked her back, even more gently. Magnolia swooped back to a long twig. (She can be 6 months old. That would explain her maturity. )

(Sorry! I didn't see this before)
Pine giggled and nuzzled herself into her, magically forgetting all her troubles.

"I can help you," Fish Sticks mumbled, "I know some places outside of gull territory. Not much about 'em, though. We might be attacked by kittens." He shivered in fear of the kittens.

Cricket picked at her sister's dusty back feathers, then straightened up suddenly. "Wait! Twig and Sprout!" She yelped. "Why did I forget about them after just saying that I forgot about them?" She groaned to herself, launching into the air, back towards the nest.

"I suppose I can visit them. So who lives there, if the gulls don't?" Riski rose on an updraft of air. He frowned at the shivering gull. He didn't look very eager to leave the bay. "Are you saying you never left the bay?"
