~>Fury of the Wind<~ (A Bird RP)

Fish Sticks eyed him. He’s acting like a human whose hotdog’s been stolen. Nevertheless, the clumsy gull turned and addressed the audience once again.
“We must appoint a general!” He paused to make sure he had their attention. “I would lead you if needed, gulls!”
The arguing below erupted with newfound vigor as the gulls strove to decide who would be their leader.

Blizzard gripped Bagel Bite’s neck feathers. Then the group was off, looking to anyone below like a singularly horrible monster, with many pairs of wings and more than a few beaks and claws. The ever-present lights of the city guided them as the light of the sun disappeared completely under the horizon.

Cement landed, stumbling and panting, on the short green grass of the human-empty high school. She squinted around her in the darkness, locating Russet, Toren, and Terra. And, of course, Salty Fries. A white-splashed guard of Suliver's gang landed besides them. Her eyes widened as she took in the sight before her. The lights scattered around, left on for reasons unknown to the birds, provided just enough light that the guard could stare in awe at the strange group before her.
“How..?” She shook her head, then seemed to adopt a more professional air. “We’ll take it from here.” She puffed out her chest and let out a throaty coo, which led to the approach of more pigeons, until they out-numbered Cement’s group. “Gang leader Cement.” The gray-and-white bird addressed her formally, admiration in her gaze. “Suliver told me, that, if you returned, he would tell you everything you want to know. You are a valuable ally.” She bobbed her head and stepped back. Some of her companions, however, didn’t look so pleased. They still did their job, though, and carried Salty Fries onto the roof of a nearby school building.

Rocket flew ever-lower in order to try and find a good place to stash herself and Nanako. Her eyes strained against the darkness.
*nanakoshe also searched before she'd spotted what looked like a good spot to hide.*

Nanako: over there! *she pointed with her wing toward athe sheltered hiding place.*

The harsh cries of gulls below was heard, though the only ones understood were spoken by those who screamed the loudest.
“Why should we pick you then?”
“Who else would we pick?”
“He speaks clever and gutsily. I s’pose he’d make a smart top gull.”
“Look at the large, tough one at his side.”
“He probably has gulls to back him up.”
“I don’t see no army! What about Vaatras? He’d make a good leader!”
“Or general. It’s enough to have Vaatras generally bossing birds around to know I don’t want it to be his job.”
“And have this upstart? This nobirdie? We need someone with genuine leadership experience!”

Eventually they arrived at General One Toe’s place or whatever it’s called.
Moonlight tied the gull up and sent the other pigeons away. They would need to
Russet grinned and nodded.
This was Cement. She could defeat any foe, and he would try to assist with his parka-handicapped antics. That’s our Cement.
Fish Sticks stepped from one big webbed foot to another big webbed foot uneasily. “We should settle this in the morning!” He finally squawked, then backed up rapidly, almost shoving Riski off a slope in his haste.

Blizzard nodded to Moonlight, relieved that his task was finally completed. He flew off to a nearby tree, which was stunted because it grew in the city, and perched tiredly on one of its scant branches.

Cement gestured to her flock and found a building to roost upon. Tomorrow she would have words with Suliver.

Rocket dipped down, and, in a flash of red feathers, disappeared under the tattered couch that Nanako had pointed to.

Riski was about to seethe, but it was really a good idea, he had to admit. "Fine," he grumbled, taking a few waddling steps off the cliff before taking flight and searching for a good place to land. He found an isolated patch near the shore where he sat on a small outcropping and fell asleep to the sound of the waves, a relaxing constant no matter where in the world he was. Much better than that awful, moonless Raven forest.

Russet flew to settle beside her. Her grey feathers pressed against his red ones were comforting and safe. Even if the world seemed bent against them. And amazing, because there was no way he deserved such an awesome pigeon as his mate.
Russet awned. "'Night, Cement," he said, his beak falling into his chest.
She was probably worrying about something. Cement was always worrying about something, this time it probably had to do with Sulliver. Russet often tried to make it so she had one less thing to worry about, specifically himself, and he tried doing other things to lessen it also. But right now he was too tired to ask her about it.
(yeah yawned is spelt wrong but I can't fix it cuz the computer is acting up.)

Fish Sticks clambered over to the cliffs’ edge and hopped off, sailing smoothly to a small, rocky ident in the cliff side. He landed and sat down, trying to settle himself on the rocky surface. Things had happened today that he never thought would happen to him. He shook his head, trying to fling his worries out of his ears, but it didn’t really work. So, he sat there, thinking about the future, finally going to sleep as the moon shone in full.

Cement reached over, eyes half-closed, and preened a feather or two of Russets’. She then dropped her beak back on her chest. However relaxed she appeared, internally she was far from it.
Cement wondered if she was right about Suliver’s plan. If she was, things were going to be hard indeed. I hope I’m wrong... because, if he’s planning what I suspect he is, the fragile peace of the City isn’t going to last much longer.
She shivered in the cool night air.

Shard stepped forward, her patchy gray plumage dull in the light of the city and the moon. Her eyes flashed like fiery daggers.
The gull sat before her, injured and flightless, but still defiant. He met her eyes in a silent challenge.
Shard raised a single foot, a gleaming razor-talon attached.
Bagel Bite’s eyes widened and he opened his beak to squawk-
Shard brought the razor-talon down in a quick, deadly slash.
Blood dripped down onto the concrete roof.
Bagel Bite was no more.

Russet moved to give her a comforting return, but sleep had already overtaken him.
(Ooo, drama... she made them go through all the work of bringing him alive only so she could kill him...)

(Yeah... Shard’s a jerk XD)

Rocket panted, tired after the chase. But she soon perked up, and was beaming as she peered around in the dark space. She was absolutely confident that they wouldn’t be found. “Hey, good job finding this place.” Rocket said, gratitude in her voice. She nudged Nanako with a wing.

Nanako: thanks. *she smiled before fluffing her feathers when she got a slight chill.* this place seems to possibly have some good hiding spots.
