~>Fury of the Wind<~ (A Bird RP)

The pigeons were silent for a moment ad the statement sent in. Then were the fearful murmurings. It was well known that the non-members were often hated by the gang-leaders, and the bullying from them proved them. But genocide? Wasn’t that going too far?
“Why?”
“Who told you that?” (It was pretty obvious who did, but it was merely a question of the credibility of the source.)
“Aren’t the lieutenants going to do anything to stop it?” They didn’t love the lieutenants, but they did keep things under control and stamp out infighting, or the Pigeon Territory would devolve into chaos. The pigeon who asked that last question was Squibs, by the way.
Pigeon mothers and fathers were already rushing to their nests to share the news with their mates and a watered-down version of it to their children. Though it was hard to water down such a blunt, short statement.
“I’m not sure why. The gangs have always been harsh on us non-members, but I never expected this.” Blizzard explained. Internally, he was feeling a great sense of betrayal. Moonlight had promised his gang was to be safe.
Now they might be exterminated.
Blizzard had sacrificed so much to keep this flock safe. Apparently that was all for nothing.
“I don’t know about the Lieutenants. We shouldn’t count on them.” He gestured at Tippy, who had nervously climbed up the rock and was now at his side, fiddling with a small pebble at his feet.
“This pigeon,” he paused to look at Tippy, “a member- well, a former member -of Suliver’s gang. He was a messenger for him, but not by choice.”
Tippy fluttered his wings, a bit frightened to be put in the spotlight. He was a bit proud, too.
Blizzard looked around, feeling desperation start to claw at his crop. Though they had few nests compared to the gangs, there was still a number of them. How would they transport the eggs without damaging them? Or the squeakers? They were running out of time!

(Yeah, Cement definitely underestimated him XD
Who’s Sebastain? Some npc?)
Cement wanted to sigh out loud at her previous ignorant assumption. He knows more than I thought. She felt a bit more respect for the gull, having thought him to be dim-witted because he had spilled the gulls’ attack plan so easily.
What do I tell him? Cement hesitated in her reply. Finally, she decided to take a risk. This whole operation was a risk, anyway. They needed all the help they could get.
“I’m not the only one involved in this attack. A number of gang leaders and lieutenants are planning to attack the General. There’s going to be a coup.”
Hopefully Ritz didn’t think her announcement sounded like just another notgul coo.

(YES. That would be awesome. XD If only more people had joined.. :/
Oh, and I have written some short stories in the same world as this rp, but they’re severely unedited. Most of them are set at the start of the first war, but one is based in a possible future of this rp.)

(It’s alright, this rp hasn’t been very active. XD
Ok, so a number of the gang leaders and some lieutenants are planning to overthrow the General, One-Toe, because they want power and also want to expand the pigeon territories. However, this is a recent plan, and not many know about it, even the pigeons in Suliver’s own gang haven’t really been told. Meanwhile, a small group of unsatisfied gulls, lead by Fish Sticks and Riski, are planning to attack the pigeons too. The coup of the general is happening in two rp days.)
(he’s oblivious. Not stupid.
yeah, Sebastain is the gull assigned to manage the scouts.)
“A coo?” asked Ritz. “What are you planning to do, all get together to make pigeon noises and then suddenly we share the city peacefully?” That is not going to work, considering all the recent events.
(Wow, thats cool. We could be co-authors! XD)

(Yes, if only I could bring myself to edit my writing. :p
...coo-authors? XD)
Cement stared at him for a moment, momentarily puzzled.
“No, the other kind of coup.” She cooed, “They’re going to attack the government too.”

(I was kidding XD)
“The other kind of coup? I’m not familiar with another kind. Okay, they’re going to attack the government then. Isn’t that a good thing?” Ritz echoed basically all of her gang members.

(Forgot about this)
“Me neither,” muttered the pigeon sorrowfully.
“We can never count on those thrice-tellurian lieutenants,” muttered another. ”They promise to control the gang violence, but sometimes they’re in on it too! I should have joined Cement while I had the chance.”
The mothers looked sadly at their younglings. Pigeons weren’t strong enough to relocate whole nests. They needed a stronger bird, or more than one.
“Fabric, we need fabric,” muttered Tiddles. Finding fabric was easy enough, and it was doable getting eggs or squabs onto it, but you could never find the right size, and lifting it required the upmost caution.
Paloma’s pre-fledglings were already being booted from their nest to see if they coyld fly prematurely.

(Raven names are fancy and Crow names are natural things, Gull names are foods or anything they want to call themselves, and then Pigeon names are just the cutest things we can think of.)

(Yeah, I got that. :p I just really wish I had the motivation to edit.)
“I know the one who’s planning the attack.” Cement explained. “Suliver.”
“If he succeeds in the coup- the attack,” she corrected, “everything will be a lot worse. Especially for the gulls.” She wondered how many more times she would have to explain this after her decision to trust Ritz.

(Amer, stop naming the npcs :lau
I’m joking. It actually makes it more interesting and easier to keep track of them. XD)
Blizzard directed Splash to gather a group to search the nearest garbage cans for fabric or anything else they could use to transport the eggs and chicks. He pushed Moonlight out of his mind. Thinking about her betrayal wouldn’t help them right now.
Splash took off, several others following him in a loose group. Pigeons bustled about, though a few had already flew off, and others looked like they were ready to at any moment. If it came to fighting, they didn’t stand a chance.

“Oh. Suliver,” Ritz growled. “Suliver and his limp-feathered gang have killed our kind before. I definitely don’t want him leading the pigeons.” He nodded and perked up. “Okay. I think that’s enough information. I’ll definitely tell Sebastain.”

(Haha NEVER)
"Where will we go?" asked Tiddles. (A female) She had located a piece of fabric, but with no mate she couldn't carry her unhatched eggs.

“Wait.” Cement stared at the gull seriously. “Don’t tell anyone about this if you don’t have to. It’s essential that few know what I’ve told you.” She cooed. If Suliver catches him or one of the other gulls.. She tried to push these thoughts out of her mind. No use worrying. My gang needs me.

Blizzard’s first thought was of scattering. They would be harder to find that way. But, every bird would have to fend for themselves. They would be scared and alone.
Though some of the flightier of the flock had already dispersed, the pigeons with young couldn’t just fly off on their own. They would need help. And Blizzard had to be there for his gang, even if they blamed him for this. Even if he was the only one who decided to stay.
“I know of a pigeon who could help us.” Blizzard cooed, thinking of Cement. I hope she’ll accept us. “But first we should find refuge in the Raven-”
His words stopped abruptly. A pigeon was flying towards them, desperation in her rapid flapping. She was one of the birds who had went with Splash.
“They’re here!” She shouted, fear plain in her voice.
“They’re here to kill us!”

Blizzard flew up to her, trying to get her to calm down and explain the situation. “What did you see?”
The pigeon didn’t answer. She was looking towards the streets of the city.
A flock of pigeons clouded the sky.
