I just bought two hatchery quality silkies from Tractor Supply along with four khaki Campbell’s. The Campbell’s were supposed to be raised by my sister who moved out unexpectedly and now they’re my responsibility. One of the silkie chicks is bossing it up with the ducks and they’re living together nicely despite the size difference (should they be in the same brooder? I’m worried about them getting crushed and wet by the ducks) and I often see her snuggling with the ducks and eating with them. But my other silkie is a bit different and stands under the light and chirps continuously with her eyes closed while everyone else is running around. She only stops peeping if I pick her up and hold her, and at that point she falls asleep. Is she dying or too cold? I’m nervous I’m doing something wrong since I’ve never raised ducks or bantams before and assumed they would be ok together.
Edit: she has died
