fuzzi's Chicken Journal

I don't have chicken bed linen but I do have a few chicken cups.
I don't have any cups. I want these. The 2nd one is in my AMZ cart.

Duvet covers are one of the few things I can sew myself, just pick a cute lightweight sheet for the top and a plain lightweight sheet for the bottom and leave a gap at one end.
I have to say that I really like the one that you did get.

I briefly thought about making a cover from sheets, but I would first have to buy the sheets. And then hand stitching them together for approximately 26' was the deal breaker for me. Uh, no.

Oh no sewing machine. That does make it more difficult.
However if you got a sewing machine, you could not only sew your own duvet covers, you could also start quilting, another great way to spend money!
I
HATE
SEWING!!!

:gig

So that wouldn't work, hmm?

Thanks for the suggestion, anyway.

Apparently most people close to me think I have lost it because they give me this stuff:lol:.
Every year something chicken related pops up as a gift. I've got picky now regarding the gift quality; only bone china mugs please, first editions if possible.:p
I've got a few chicken related dust gatherers around the flat. The most obvious give away to my insanity are the original art works of chickens hanging on the walls, oh, and the bags of feed in my bedroom. A bit obvious that one.:D

I had to come clean in the end when my eldest, rummaging under the sink for a clean cloth, pulled out a tube of goat wormer and a packet of DulcoEase and gave me an enquiring look.:D

Looks like I'm not the only one who lost it...
:D

What's the writing inside the mug say?
It says "lay a little egg for me." Odd really because the chickens don't use that cup so I suppose the cup is talking to me.:lol:

I picked up some off brand Crocs at Aldi's, lined inside with pile. Love them, perfect for trips out to the coop!

I've been two weeks without eggs, so I started eating pickled eggs that I made back in June. I placed hard-boiled/peeled eggs into a jar of pickled beets brine.

The whites are a little bit rubbery, but the eggs taste fine.
