I had troubles with roos wattles and rubber bowls. They would dip the wattles and get frost bite.ook up the chicken waterers, put down the rubber bowls.
It's been sleeting here, some, but mostly we're having freezing rain.I think they are calling for us to have about 2-3" accumulation of snow, sleet, freezing rain.
Not a flake in sight yet, everything is already shutting down.
Added shavings to the coop floor. Cut a few collard plants and put them in the run. Took up the chicken waterers, put down the rubber bowls.
I think we are all set and ready for the cold. If we get frozen precip we won't see much melting before Friday or Saturday.
I am so ready for spring! I have crocus and hellebores starting to bloom. The daffodils are up and have buds.![]()

I’m so sorry for your loss of Cleo!Thank you, all. Cleo was surrendered to the animal shelter, slated for euthanasia at age 7 but was rescued by a lady who couldn't stand the idea of such a loving dog being PTS. We adopted Cleo from her after our Tirzah died, and Cleo lived with us for the next 6 years.
I keep expecting her to come down the hall and into the kitchen to greet me.
