I had two planted next to the driveway (mistake) for about fifteen years, then they both just died within a year or so.

They were a great screen for my porch, but the spent blossoms stuck to my car and marred the paint.

Same here, but on our wooden bad back deck instead. Also fun to step on when barefoot.

I'm excited!

I've been wanting to make my own bread for a while, didn't want to go the bread maker route.

I found a Dough Girl on eBay last night! And bought it!!!


It does mixing and kneading of dough by turning a crank, no electricity, no electronics. My arthritic hands will be happy.

I had 5 and I am down to one.
I have never seen one sprout anywhere. Everyone else is trying to get rid of them

Try this recipe, it's a batter type bread that you make with a mixer. I do cut back a little on the pepper, but it's delicious for sandwiches and toast.

I was looking for a lemon Pepperidge Farm cake, went to Publix. Got the cake and picked up some King Arthur bread flour and KA rye flour, too!

I now have two rain barrels on each downspout.

Just in time for the rain...and heat.

It's not the 90°plus that's difficult, it's the humidity that saps my strength.

But I can garden 9 months, 7 months frost free.

And we usually get one snowfall a year, 2"-4".
