I had to go away to do my nightly poop scoop. This is my weekend to work, so not much time to hang with the birds. It was bittersweet today, my babies (most of them) were up on the top roost with the rest of the birds! I am sad tonight about my little boys. It is so quiet there now, no tiny crows of joy to greet me when i arrive. I should have divided the camper, but i was so concerned with space with the little EE's. On a good note though, wanna know who was letting them share???

Maurice the d'uccle roo! And you wanna know who was the one next to him??? Hope! Sweet. I would not be sad if they took a shine to each other, i just hope he isn't trying stuff with the little hens! He is at that age where he has a general idea of what he should do, but not the maturity to know what he should NOT do, lol. I have seen him do his little wing kick dance at them, they are very close to the same size, so he probably don't realize that they are BIG girls! lol. He just looks so stinking proud to have "his" own little flock, cause his 2 girls are still showing him who's wearing the pants, and it ain't him!

i'd rather drive my jeep than your mail truck anyday... even if I have bald tires and no heat. LOL. I have no heat, but good tires. LOL

If I could've gone back for my car, I would've in a heartbeat, but they won't let us use our cars on llv routes. The route I'm doing Monday isn't one so I'll be able to maintain control. Looking forward to it not only for that, but because then I'm not scheduled again til Saturday. 4 days off. Woot!

Man, just got home from work. Very slick night. But, kept it between the ditches.

Pulled in the driveway and shut off the jeep, the birds were going completely batshi. I went back to see, walk carefully around the whole pen, no b&e, so, I go in... My faverdotte hen was on top of the pen curtain, 8 feet up, totally freaking out because when ever she'd move, the curtain/fencing would move. Not very stiff up there. Any who, I finally got her down, every one shut up, I came in the house. Stupid trouble making idiot bird.

I still have Chicken Little who needs to be rehomed immediately. I have new neighbors who moved in on Christmas Eve. And CL never stops crowing and crowing and crowing.

He is a handsome bugger- but I cant cant cant have chickens, so definitely I cant have him.

I am down to one quail. a male. He crows too- but I am looking for more. Something stole the other two, one by one. Hasnt been back and I dont know who it was. No tracks, feathers.nothing. If I order eggs, do you think they will freeze?
