Fuzzy's Farm

OMG! I am so sick and tired of this losing posts because the stupid site is freezing up when I try to post a picture! I have a hole darn thing typed out, and BAM lost, because I was "Please wait"ing for ever so I had to refresht the page... Post gone! Bam!

Anyway. New roof installed. Fencing under tarp and wood now. Peaked instead of hoop roof.

had a very sick bird. She's better now. Some people... and most of us will know who... would have said to kill off the hole flock. yeah... not happening. One bird... that's it. She was so bad when I found her under the coop, she couldn't see. That's probably why I didn't see her... Under the coop, standing still. Eyes crusted shut, beak snotty, beard stiff. She's had her last day of antibiotics today, is eating and drinking on her own again. and HATES being in the house. She was the one that also alerted me to lice... OMG, they were so bad on her. They were dropping off dead with in hours of treating her.

Little pretty is healing. Keeping her slathered, and her wound is so far so good. Keep smelling her to make sure I do not smell puss in the wound. She's still sitting on her eggs.

AND Loralie has gone broody... She keeps stealing Beulah's nest. LOL They both keep terrorizing the birds that live in that coop, so that those birds are now trying ot go with the big birds, but the big birds terrorize them off those roosts.

I know.. not perfect, but then again... Like I know how to use a measuring tape and a t-square. Pff... NOT HAPPENING!
Looks great to me. You can come to ok and build me coops anytime you want - LOL!

What happened to your chicken? Did she tangle with a raccoon or get caught somewhere? We had a raccoon sitting on the front porch in the middle of last night eating out of the can that holds fish food. Dogs went ballistic. Needless to say, we dragged the can in the house and chased off raccoon.

Hi Tee, Hi Savannah, Hi Fuzzy.

Fireworks are still going off here. We live by the lake so all the weekend crowd has to do their thing. Maybe by this weekend it will calm down. Even the goats go ballistic. We shut them in early just so they will be a bit calmer.

how's the trailer coming, Fuzzy?

Been busy busy here. Getting ready for two baby showers for DIL's that we are giving out here. Who knew that there is so much to do? Not me or I wouldn't have volunteered - ha. Plus making the cakes which I love but take considerable time. And cleaning this house...Window washing anyone?

Hi gigi. Baby showers already? I thought your DILs were due in the fall. At any rate, once you get all the work done, have fun.

Raccoons are a pain in the booty. We were constantly catching them eating the barn cat food at night so we stopped feeding them in the evening. We have unfortunately lost 4 chickens in the past few weeks to one. I've tried to catch it, but the darn thing keeps finding a way to get the bait before it triggers the trap. It's very frustrating to see a triggered empty trap. I tried different things to bait it with, but the result is always the same. At any rate, I have the remaining chickens on a tighter watch so nothing has happened in about a week now so hopefully it stays that way.

So my big news for the day is I had to go to the friend of the court today because my ex wanted to change the support he pays due to not working from an injury. Mind you, we are in the middle of something much huger than this with him that might end up being put to trial and ending the support in a few weeks anyway. So we go in and they do the calculations and he now has to pay me a whopping $6 a month. I almost laughed. I'm not mad since things are expected to go along this line anyway, but it was like why? What's the point of making him pay $6? It's just stupid really and I will admit I was slightly amused by it.

Tee our court system is a total stupidity trip! Nothing surprises me! Why even bother for 6 whole dollars? He should be ashamed for not wanting to pay for his child or children! Sorry you are going through this! :(

OMG! They wouldn't even do that for john! he has to pay me 70 a month. He tried to get it stopped since he wasnt' able to find work, and yes, has a lawsuit pending for a back injury, but the lady we had, she was like... you can work part time, better than nothing, you have kids, blah blah... I mean, she wasn't taking ANY of hisexcuses, even with me there agreeing to waving arrearages. LOL. He's got a job now though, and it's one that will not interfere with his lawsuit. It's just sitting on a highlo all day and moving freight from one truck to another.. But $6!! LOL. Wow...

Geeesh, Tee! 6 dollars? Unbelievable. What a mess! The whole things with courts and lawyers is just mind boggling. I've been trying to get my mother's estate settled for 2 years and she had nothing except a condo. The lawyer never answers my calls, ended up filing things wrong and then when we were trying to straighten out the title, didn't show up in court Monday. I've got the condo sold but can't close because of all this. We are going to another lawyer this week which will cost another bunch of money just to straighten out the first lawyer's fiasco. Then the lawyer on my Dad's estate (who died three months ago) still hasn't hired an appraiser to appraise the rent houses. We may be replacing him soon also. I hate hate hate this stuff so I can so identify with what you are dealing with. For some reason I can't make new paragraphs-lol! Raccoons are a pain in the booty. i'm so sorry you guys lost chickens also. I need to get the electrical wire up and working.

Nova, DIL's aren't due until end of Sept/Oct but they are super organized (unlike me) and want their showers at end of July/first of August so they will know what they still need after the baby showers. Oh well, this makes me do all the stuff I've been putting off - ha.

My most down-to-earth DIL thinks she has a ghost in her new house. She and my son moved in about a month ago. She says she's always nervous and the dogs constantly are going crazy. Now, she is pregnant and so this could be part of it - ha. She found out someone died in the house and I think her mind is working overtime. I'm not a big believer in such things but she is adamant. They don't have enough money to move again. Oh well, I told her to burn sage in all the corners in the house 'cause one of my pioneer books says that the ultimate remedy for ghosts - lol!
