I have looked all over for some. Finally I was contacted by another BYC member and was told she bought some and I can have them.

That was lucky. I'm like that with the lavender orpingtons. Want some so badly but other than eggs, have yet to find them. Maybe in the spring.

I seen my first ones at the fall show Rusty and I went to in Birch Run and have been looking for some every since. It was real lucky.

I have yet to go to a show. I think that would be fun - even DH would enjoy it. The problem with lav orps is that the breed(?) in the US mutates quite a bit so isn't recognized by the APA. The only real lav orps are out of the UK and my chances of finding those are pretty slim. I'm loving your grey girls!

Not that I mind birds with mutations (they can be the coolest). It's just they are hard to find regardless of genetics.

We had a blast at the show. It was quite interesting actually. I was following a judge around and he was showing me DQ's on chickens. The grays i seen up there was much prettier than mine, they were like silver colored, but I love my gray ones too. It's a start anyway. Hope you find some lav. orps.

Yes, you should look one up in the spring and make plans to attend it. Very interesting and lots and lots of birds lol

Hey, guys! What's up? Right now, I'm dealing with a sour-puss sister.

She's all grumpy. Why??? I have no idea! Right now she's calling me Queen of Laziness, and Computer Girl!

Too bad she doesn't realize I don't care what the heck she calls me, I still love her. She's my sissy.

Is it just me or do little kids always seem to get really grumpy when something doesn't go their way? She's only grumpy because she has to clean the rat cage and wanted me to do it, but I said no because it was her turn, so now she's like, "I think I'm gonna keep all the presents I got for you" and "Never mind asking the Queen of Laziness for help."

I just got through feeding the dogs, feeding the chickens, watering the dogs, watering the chickens, and cleaning the coop, along with our room and sweeping the living room--- for mom. So, I guess I'm the Queen of Laziness now?
