I would think, that as long as it is clean able that'd be good. I was thinking too, maybe just put it over the wood roosts. It can't get that hot where I'd have to worry about a fire, you'd not think... BUT maybe a round would be better with some glue and sand like you suggest. Hmmm.... I wonder if I were to fill a section of down spout with sand... or run a 2x2 thru the inside, screw it in place, then wrap the downspout with the heat tape, so it is a square instead of a round... down spout is pretty cheap, easy to cut... wouldn't have to worry about the wood heating overly then either...
Well, I better get my hiney into bed. Work comes soon. Looks like a smallish paper tonight, so that's good. Thursday will be huge thanks to black friday... yuck...
) I also have a book for you if you don't own it already! I cleaned my bookshelf and i have "backyard farming by terry bridge" Nice new book, but i don't own land so i can't do much of it. (It has a brief bit about bees too!)
