Gaggle of Chinese Ostracizing a Roman Tufted - Help!

Can I give her Tetra-Vet 10 diluted in water orally via needle-less syringe? How much and how often?

She feels slightly lighter - not drastically different from last week.

Not to make light of the situation but she is hacking and sounds like the dinosaurs from Jurassic Park and her sinus sounds like a clogged drain. The foxtails blocked in her nostrils could be unrelated? I have Vetericyn spray and Tetra-Vet 10 on hand. Are these safe to administer to her?

This morning she is standing and using the bucket to dunk her beak and drinking! Safe to add salt to her water?

I am diluting a batch right away.

Can I freeze the rest of the packet for later use? Expiration 02/2018

I am not an antibiotics expert, @casportpony often helps me out with that. I would not put salt in her drinking water, but would put two tablespoons of ACV per gallon of water in her drinking water for a few hours, then back off to one tablespoon per gallon the rest of the day -

I would irrigate the sinuses with mild saline solution.

I just learned about a gizmo for babies - the nosefrida - http://www.fridababy.com/shop/nosefrida/

Tossing out ideas here - - - prayers for you all.

Vetericyn spray is fine for my ducks, I reckon it is okay for geese, also. Remember, I am a duck person - so I can share what I have learned from the smaller waterfowl.

Socially, I know geese are a little different, but with the ducks, I have found that helping them know they have a friend, with an unbreakable mirror, a buddy, or my own company - makes obvious positive differences in health and behavior. Maybe - this may sound strange - have you talked to her about how you feel? Just knowing you are conversing with them seems to make my ducks less anxious.

Question - the antibiotic needs to be given orally so she drinks it, right? Is 3 times a day for a week alright?

Not to be added in her bucket of water that will go inside her nares?
- stupid question, but I want to make sure so not to harm her.

Antibiotics can be given through drinking water. It is less precise because it depends on how much the animal drinks, but often that's the way people administer it.

Body weight and recommended amount of antibiotic per pound need to be known - do you have that information with the antibiotic?

Getting the antibiotic in the nares ought not to be a problem and may in fact be helpful, I am not sure.

Here is an example of that arithmetic

Thank you Amiga! Yes, I keep talking to her and she looks at me - still not very trusting, but yes she calms down. I keep telling her what a brave and beautiful baby she is ... and I am sorry for not noticing her pain before ... and she is getting all better now. Her eyes are gems of wisdom and patience.

So the Rx for her - 1) 10% saline solution sinus irrigation
2) Vetericyn spray on nares
3) 2 Tbsp ACV in a gallon water bucket to clear her sinus
& 4) Tetra-Vet 10 1/4 tsp per quart orally - maybe twice a day for 2 weeks

Please let me know if the above sounds right. Also, she seems to like the mist of lavender from the diffuser - OK to keep it in?

As far as I know, a little lavender seems like a fine idea . . . I feel a bit odd, since I am a duck person.

But, aside from the antibiotic - which seems reasonable but I would feel better if someone more experienced with dosing geese would check in - seems you are on a good track.

Ducks can pick on a flock member who is ill. I wonder if geese are the same way? Probably there is no one reason. Waterfowl have very sophisticated social structure from what I have seen.

You may be able to poke around in the archives for some dosage info. Recently, casportpony wrote that she thinks one of the online dosage charts is off a bit . . . I would get started or keep going with the antibiotics and also keep looking for more iron-clad information, and adjust accordingly.

Here is dosage information, a quick look, seems you are dosing correctly - but you need to know how much she weighs and calculate from there.

I need to go get some bedding for my Runners and Buffs, who are spending quite a bit of time in the night shelter these days.
