Gaining traction

Hey y’all!
I put together a plank for my duckies to get in and out of their kiddie pool. They haven’t used it, I have noticed from putting them on the ramp that the white portion is a bit slippery for their little duck feet. Does anyone know any duck safe remedies to create grip on my new ramp? Via google I’ve found traction spray, for shoes in the snow. Is this okay for duck ramps?

An old carpet scrap. Also side rails might be good.

I use a couple of bricks leading up to my pool. They are easily washable and offer enough traction. They sort of look like this. I'll try to post a pic tomorrow.

Not enough traction is not your only problem, the ramp needs to be wider, and less steep.
