YOU are the one who wrote I had an 'entitled mentality' for thinking to ask questions of experienced people and learn from them.
YOU are also writing that only people who have hands-on experience should be posting advice, else they are stroking their own egos for, what was it, 'warm and fuzzies'?
According to that logic, this forum is 'sacred ground' which should only be trod upon by those who've been around poultry for ages, (and certified by you as being legit) while newer folk should basically remove our sandals, kneel, and listen in silent awe.
THIS IS A BACKYARD CHICKEN FORUM, by definition not for pros and businesses, and open to all to ask any sort of genuine question, give what they think is a correct answer, or give opinions. BYC is where PEOPLE COME TO SHARE SND LEARN FROM ONE ANOTHER WITHOUT BEING INSULTED OR TOLD THEIR THINKING IS ENTITLED.
