I have three buff geese 2 female 1 male all around 9 weeks and two Pekin ducks 1 female 1 male around 4 weeks old. We have kept the ducks and geese separated since day one, but how long do I have to keep them separated? Our gander picks on the drake so bad! Pulls out his feathers and pins him down. I thought by now they’d start to get along.. will they ever?
Hard to give a 'yes' or 'no' answer to your question as behavior varies from bird to bird. Generally in my experience young birds are not this aggressive to other species; whereas, adults tend to show aggressive behavior during the breeding season. Only time will tell the tale al to how things work out. Good luck.
