Something that may help arthritis and does help with inflammation, and has helped me tremendously, is quit eating grains and sugars of all kinds. No exceptions, and no cheating. Both are highly acidic, and highly inflammatory.

Always kept water in the bowl, and as you guessed it, eventually the needles would start to fall.
