The blossoms are 3./4" in diameter.
 
When I went looking for pictures of Venus Flytraps I came across a map that shows where they exist in the wild. Currently only in a small part of coastal N & S Carolina :(
then that map is wrong, we have them down in the florida panhandle, in wet areas, unless they're talking about different species of venus flytraps, i always found it fascinating to see insects in the "throat" sometimes still alive trying to crawl out
 
That is great Sharron, happy to hear it. That area on the map was pretty small, seemed like extinction was more than likely.
with the way people are moving down here it may not be long before they are extinct down here, haven't been in a swampy area lately to see if they're still here but they used to be
