Probably same as last year...nothing, lol. Since we moved to WY, I haven't had a garden and miss it. But summer is the busiest time of year for me with work so don't really have the time or a good place to do it.

BTW, have you had luck growing Rosemary from seed before? I've tried in the past (when we had our FL house) but ended up having to buy plants already started.

I have not tried it before. If it does not do well I will have to buy a plant. lol

Fresh herbs are the best! It kills me to buy those tiny plastic boxes of them at the grocery store (but I do because I prefer the fresh).

With you being in AL, how early can you start things? In FL I used to start most everything inside in late January and was able to set most plants out in March.

I usually start mine in Feb.
Or when I have what I want to plant lol

Re: keeping cats off seedling shelves: When that was an issue for me (sadly, no longer :() I would set a set of shelves in front of my S facing living room window. Set up a light, and then wrap the whole affair with heavy duty tin foil. Kept the cats out, captured the sunlight plus the flourescent light, and bounced it back to the plants. Also, held in a bit of heat.

I used to think Cilantro tasted like soap. In a way, it still does. But, my taste buds have changed a bit, so I now enjoy it in small quantities. Interestingly, my hubby, who never complained about Cilantro in the past, can now taste it a mile away, and finds it objectionable.

Bad news gardeners, the snow man is in critical condition! But that is good for us, because it is warming up. We made it up to 51 this afternoon! The snow is melting, melting.....
