Bad news gardeners, the snow man is in critical condition! But that is good for us, because it is warming up. We made it up to 51 this afternoon! The snow is melting, melting..... View attachment 1240905

There's a front on the move that's supposed to bring us 4-6" this weekend. If you run out of snow, do you want me to send you some of ours?

I used to think Cilantro tasted like soap. In a way, it still does. But, my taste buds have changed a bit, so I now enjoy it in small quantities. Interestingly, my hubby, who never complained about Cilantro in the past, can now taste it a mile away, and finds it objectionable.
It is something in an individuals genes. DW also tastes soap,, while I just enjoy it with all my South of the Border Dishes. Most of our children also do not taste soap.

It's nice to find someone who doesn't live to far away, what kind of poultry do you raise?

I have a flock of 18 Buff Orpington, Welsummer, BO/Welly cross Standards and a lone Speckled Sussex hen and 38 mixed breed OEGB/bantam cochins and whatever else was passing through the Amish neighbor's barnyard at the moment. And two BBR OEGB pullets. I'm hoping to add a few pure bred OEGB's to my flock this spring as I want to breed down in size from what I have.

Mainly, I'm fighting Marek's at the moment and holding my breath hoping the initial infection is over as I lost over 18 birds to the initial infection last year.

How about you?
