My son is honing a few skills in the shop as well and made us this sign for the coop.

Moved some compost into the garden beds this morning and turned the girls loose to do some tilling while I start cutting next year's firewood. Yesterday was treat day for the flock. I found some clearance blueberries (their all-time fave) at the market and they were ready for them!

Your son did a nice job with the sign :thumbsup

Planted 2 more blueberry bushes today and pulled down the old cattle panel fence at the end of my garden. Plan on putting in a couple of muscadine vines there. Those panels have been there for about 20 yrs. A few big roots had grown over the bottom rail. Took a while to get them loose. Hope to have those in this weekend.

Thought I was done for the day until my wife said she had cleared some new space and expanded the garden and wanted more raised beds. So, I built an 8'x3' and two 14'x3' raised beds out of salvaged 2x8's from an old deck. Added a cattle panel arch to one for trellising more runner beans and cukes. Not as beautiful as @oldhenlikesdogs garden :), but functional. I'll be mixing more of my secret garden soil to fill the beds next dry spell.
