I picked enough cherries from my smallest Evans Bali Cherry tree this morning to make a cherry pie. It just came out of the oven and I now must wait impatiently for it to cool. It does smell really good.
Email me a slice when it cools. :drool I have a 3D food printer. :gig

My indoor garden is maintaining for the time being. The light is changing and it won't be long before I can open the shade and let some natural light in.
We are expecting cooler days over the next week so the oldest GS is helping plant corn and pumpkins tomorrow morning. We still have sunflowers but everything else has been removed to the compost pile.

Oh that's sad to hear. :(
X2

The cabbage worms are kicking my butt... My squash didn't make it... And Cuke's are dyeing... I can't figure out my Swiss chard It's not doing well at all. I need to clip dead leaves and see what it does. My tomatoes and beans are loaded with fruit. I lost my rosemary to the potato cover... But so far my herbs are doing great and nothing can hurt the kale.

I'm going to plant new cuke's in cups and then transplant. we'll see what happens.

Anyone have any experience with something eating the rose leaves and the cherry bush leaves?

I don't see any bugs or eggs. The leaves just look like they're being shredded and eaten.
A few of my roses are chewed up every year. I have given up trying to figure it out. I think it's those little green caterpillars but I have no proof. For some reason these few scraggly roses don't die either.

Deer are eating up stuff here. :barnie
When the deer started going after twenty year old trees that I had planted, I banished them from my little oasis. I fenced in my "green area" with 6' tall 2"x4" welded wire fence. The bucks can jump over the fence but since the does and fawns can't, the bucks see no reason to jump the fence. There were a couple of incidents shortly after I put the fence up but the daytime visitors were escorted out almost as fast as they entered and very quickly stopped trying to get in. Of course the ones that crashed into the new fence at night learned very quickly also.
