finishing the last of the tomatoes this morning, just a small 16 quart canning kettle to cook it down to make puree, i know theres still a few tomatoes out there, not ripe yet, but not enough to worry about, have beans to worry about now, i planted some painted ladies, have to wait til they changed colors, right now altho the beans are big inside the hull, still green like a lima, i know they're suppose to be two toned brown, also have Cherokee trail of tears to dry for dried beans, in other words, the garden is still producing like crazy( also have beets to pull, clean, cook and can)
i'm still getting volunteers coming up, found a pepper plant yesterday that came up volunteer, don't know if its a jalapeno or a aji lemon, since thats the area where there hots were planted either way, i'll take it and bring it inside for the winter:)
not bragging just saying what i've been up too
i plant some flowers but mostly veggies this years, i've heard things are going to get crazy

so sorry, hope you were prepared for this and have the things you want inside
I harvested what I could yesterday except for the root crops. The snow insulates the plants and helps prevent frost damage. As of this morning I am up to 4 1/4" of snow and it is still coming down.

Most of the melons needed at least another week or two to ripen.
Orange Silverwave Cantaloupe It was almost there and did give hints of how good it could be if it was ripe. I ate it anyway.

Not positive but believe this is a Halona Cantaloupe. At least this one is ripe.

Painted Serpent Cucumber (it is 27" long and 2 1/2" in diameter at its widest), slicing cucumbers and Nadia eggplant.

don't think i would want to live where you do, at least not yet but people are starting to get to me and i may change my mind but then again, i hate the cold and snow, was so glad when we retired and husband wanted to go south for the winters
this year the summer here was just like florida weather, i can handle that :D
is it going to warm back up there, at least til normal time for snow and cold?
glad you got some of your garden in
