If they do crack I hope it isn't too far. I made several 1" maple wafers from 8" to 16" a couple of years ago, soaked them in some stuff that is supposed to replace the water as they dry so they don't crack. Only 2 of the 8" didn't crack.Always have a solution.That and thicker ones can support heavier buttsIf they do crack I hope it isn't too far.

That is sad. Black Knot is nasty and my understanding is the only way to get rid of it on a tree is to cut off the infested branches and burn them.
