I KNOW! Don't fuss at me. But I have to get organized or everyone gets jelly again this year.
Anyway, I was looking for instructions on how to hang an egg. I wanted something classier than a pipe cleaner.
As I was happily googling along I found this:

Off to the thrift stores!

oh, and if you want to hang an egg on something classier than a pipe cleaner:

...and of course, there's always Martha

DD and I were talking about getting started on CHRISTmas stuff yesterday. Want to make as much as we can. We are going back to the way CHRISTmas is suppose to be not about how much I get or give. The DGD still love making things for others, they are 7 and 11. So we will be working with them. there is so much even kids that age can make that comes from the heart. If it is only making Grand dad his favorite cookies or folding laundry for mom.

So letts start posting some ideas on thing we can make for others. Check out the post from last year on things to make and do

rag quilt
knitted wash cloths DD ask for them every year
quilted slippers for all

oooh quilted slippers... is that on a thread from last year? I can do that. Something small won't overwhelm me.
I will do a quick search.

Not on last years. I have made them for years from a pattern that was included with a pj pattern. I just use it as a basic pattern and quilt differnt desings or rework quilt patterns to work. I use that stuff made to put under rugs (so they don't slip) on the buttom of the slipper so they don't slip
