Most likely the buff is a cockerel but their combs develop early and it can be misleading. I won’t comment on the Polish because I haven’t the first clue about those goofy buggers. I had a Polish cross cockerel for months and had no idea 😆

Edit because I am tired and can’t remember the difference between their and they’re apparently

HAHA that might be me! I can’t tell at all lol thank you!!

To me, both polish look like they could be cockerels. Female’s will have rounded feathers as well as a much more rounded shaped crest. The roosters typically have very pointy ends to their feathers. Check out their crest feathers, hackle feathers, saddle feathers & lastly their tail feathers. I raise & breed polish, I will not claim to be a professional but that is what I have gathered through my experiences with polish chickens. Hope that will help you narrow it down.

Thank you so much for the info!! Sorry I’m so new to chickens! If I take some updated pictures of them and their feathers can you look at them as well! I’m getting so many different answers from our friends lol but obviously I trust your opinion more from you raising them

I just got a polish chick today! I’m so excited to have her or him! Do you have any tips that I should absolutely know? I have four bantam hens, two silkies and now I have a beautiful fawn/cream colored polish. Do you know if this is a hen or a rooster? Or just too young to know?
