Genetic Problems Associated with Certain Breeds?

Quote:
That's because of the Pea comb.

No, pea combs do not have fertility problems. Cornish have problems when bred to extremes of the standard. Ditto for cochins and silkies. It is not a lack of fertility, but rather a lack of being able to properly mount due to structure of type and/or heavy feather (in cochins and silkies).

I wonder if this is frequent among Orpingtons. Unless she's the only chicken in the world like this.

Which would be kind of cool... I feel like one of those moms with a primordial dwarf child who wants to know that there's others out there.

How much do you feed your Orpington per day, or do you just give her free choice, when it comes to food?

Ever had sour crop or impacted crop with her?

The dwarf Orpington sure is cute! My boy is on the smallish side, too. He's not a dwarf roo but he's much smaller than his same-age roo brothers of different breed mixes. I don't think he has developed a complex, though. What he lacks in size he makes up for in personality, big-time!
