Genetic Problems Associated with Certain Breeds?

I don't know if it is mainly associated with a breed, since EEs are mutts of sorts, but of the 6 EEs I've owned, 2 turned out to have cross-beaks.

Not sure how true this is but I read that bantam frizzle cochin roosters due not crow (?). Something to do with their genetics and the frizzle gene causing this. I am actually interested to see if this holds true for anyone. I have one and i'm not sure if it's a pullet or cockerel- does not lay yet or crow. Anyone have one????

Did your Sebrights ever breed with any breeds other than Sebrights? If so, which breeds did they breed with?

And yes, the bigger roosters could hurt her if she's not kept separate, but we have teeny bantams all free ranging with large roosters, and they just tend to stay away from the larger birds, or get squashed...lol. Not hurt, just disappear for a few seconds...lol

Mine are quite early and prolific crowers

I think they first crowed at 4 weeks or so. Of course, his new voice sounded more like a croaking frog...and then he got it sorted out

I knew that couldn't be right or else everyone wanting a "quiet" rooster would get one

My girl (?) is about 22/23 weeks so I'm waiting on eggs soon. Thanks for clearing that up
