Okay, so I got the worst news I have ever received in my life (okay well not that extreme :lau) but I am heading out to the NW Territories tomorrow morning and staying in a camp up there till later on Tuesday :th

Thats cool not unfortunate take pictures of the terrain the furthest north ive ever been was Saskatoon.

And on top of that I have to use my older truck cause it's the only one that has a two-way radio installed in it :he....are my complaining...

A/c or will you cook?

Vaccines? My birds were never vaccinated...

Npip cert. And border fees. I tried to get eggs from fanci. She got her NPIP Cert. For me, and then she was supposed to have a couple of other things done. There was a vet check up that was going to cost a lot and only lasted for a short time (i cant remember now but i think it was only 3 months) so we ended up not doing it.

@Cyprus i'm sorry to be a bother but maybe you could help me with my question?
I posted a thread about this but got mixed answers.
I have a black laced red Wyandotte rooster (from blue laced red parents but he missed out on the blue gene) and silver laced Wyandotte hens. I know for glw x slw you get sex link chicks. Do you think the chicks from my rooster crossed with our hens will give sex links?

I had to take a while to think about this.
From what I understand, and from my math, you should get 50% silver offspring and 50% Black laced red offspring.
The silver offspring should be males and the red offspring should be females.

Is that the same for Crele × Silver laced?...
I bred a crele rooster to a silver laced hen and got two chicks. The cockerel was silver and he had incomplete lacing and barring. The pullet was a gold color with incomplete lacing.. Genetic mishap?

I don't know anything about Crele, sorry. This is the forst I've heard of a Crele Wyandotte.
I would expect some cockerels to be silver. I would also expect the incomplete lacing.
The barring confuses me because if the father was barred I would expect either only his daughters to be barred, or all of his chicks because of how barring works.

The crele Is a cream legbar BTW

I found it odd because I entered the colors into a simple genetics calculators and it said that both male and female should be gold with incomplete lacing and barring...

Ah okay. Well then yeah, I'd think the males would be barred.
Base color, though....
The males should still be silver because the hen only carries one copy which she would pass on to her sons.
