Just finished building my coop. What a fun experience. I sure appreciate all of the knowledge shared here. It really helped in the design.




 
I built it insulated with port windows for added ventilation. I live near Austin Texas so it gets pretty hot here in summer. I added the automatic Chicken door and slide out dropping board. I also included a built in table for my brooder. The run is lined with ground limestone and sand and has a dirt pin and swing for their entertainment.
 
What an interesting build on an odd site!

What's underneath...the little door to the left of the steps?

Will be interesting to see how it fares in the heat down there..is it in the shade all year?.
 
I built it on a platform for it to protect it from moisture, the area under it is for feed and treats and such. It does have a fan and it is completely shaded all year.
