Getting chicks shipped

Some of the sites say if you live in a certain zip they cannot ship. My zip is 37323. Thanks who did you order them from if you don't mind me asking. New to this ,but since I retired from teaching this will be a great hobby.

Thanks i have gotten eggs. I can't get chicks in my zip. There is a embargo on some zips don't understand. If you go to greenfire they have the zips listed.

I'm in Memphis, TN (38128) and there were no problems getting day old chicks shipped from Meyer Hatcheries the first part of October this year.

Thanks it is only certain zips. Don't know why some parts of tn and not others. There are several sites that have them listed.

What is the embargo for? Thats so strange that some zips can have chicks sent and not others.... :/

Apparently about avian. I am calling the usps tomorrow to find out more info.
