Thanks Redhen! I appreciate the comment and glad you like it. I eventually will add a run to it coming out of the right side. Plus I can eventually let them out into the garden area when I don't have plants there that they will devour.

Wow! That is so unique! And amazing that it was built from mostly recycled stuff.

What a great coop - it's absolutely inviting! I've seen bed & breakfasts that didn't look that good. Congratulations!

I added today a small run. I called it an "Arizona Room". It extends out on the one end. I used the hutch that my 6 Americaunas had started out in as their brooder as part of the run. I positioned it to be on the far end and then attached chicken wire at the back far corner and proceeded around to the coop. I then used part plywood and chicken wire for the roof. I had been given some leftover asphalt shingles that I placed on top of the plywood and the hutch roof. I cut a doorway in the existing wire after building a frame to maintain the wire tightness and the doorway. They were in and out and seemed to enjoy it.

Looks like there is plenty of shade... and by the looks of the radar... you are getting rain tonight!

Nothing for us... dang heat island.

Thank you for the comments. It's been a fun project for my first coop, and I still have some minor things to do to it.
