Getting Ducks- Need info

I was thinking of something like that. Mine will have to go inside at night and when there is bad weather, too many predators. The thing is me and my dad don't have building experience, but that doesn't look hard. Thanks for showing me. Do you use linoleum or something else for the bottom?
Nope, those are open on the bottom so it's dirt floor. I just take out the old shavings and throw some new ones in. They haven't used them enough to get them really filthy.

Here they are! My husband built them 😄 Very seldom they actually get in it to sleep though unless I heard them in and block off the door 😏View attachment 2020146

One of them has the door on the front, one is to the side.
Those are nice but what about predators you never have any come around? I'd not have a single bird left if I didn't lock mine up at night.

Not really, my whole backyard where the birds are is privacy fenced and I look regularly for any signs of digging.
Also, the dogs are in and out a lot throughout the day and night.
The worst we've had come through the yard was a family of skunks 🤢

Eventually I would like to go around the fence perimeter and add a HC apron, but that's going to be quite the task!

This is what I made for the ducklings I brooded last summer. This gives them a way to dunk their heads but they can’t climb inside
