Getting less and paying more.

I stopped buying Scott a few years ago. There are several brands here that are marked "septic safe." I figure my chances are as good with one as another.

You can't use just any toilet paper if you have a septic tank???!!

I didn't know that. I usually do use Scott but I know lots of people that don't.

I'm a confirmed Diet Pepsi drinker and it really chaps my hide that what used to be 12 packs and 24 packs are now 8 packs and 18 packs for the same price. They must think we don't know how to count or something.

Does anybody used to remember how big McChicken sandwiches and Double cheeseburgers used to be before they were on the dollar menu? Shesh, I'd rather pay more for the larger burger I used to get!

b.hromada :

Wow, you sure do know your prices!

Doesn't it just drive you crazy?

it's very unfortunate. you go to the grocery store for orange juice, i see Tropicana Pure Premium Orange Juice, Not From Concentrate, 64 Oz. Carton, Assorted Varieties, 2/$6 CRAP is that new packaging artwork?"- and everytime they do this, we have to download new artwork for our server! it's a giant PITA. and while the packages get smaller, they also get cheaper- anyone notice how flimsy water bottles are now?

When I was a kid I loved Wendy's because you got big good burgers & not a bad price. I ate there all the time while I was working mostly off the 99 cent menu. I would get a Jr bacon. It had a small burger with 3 peaces of bacon. Then it went to two bacon. The one tore in half. They tried to raise the price but no one would buy them. The next step they made the patty smaller then the bun to match. I just stopped going. I only go to Golden Coral or Chines now. The other places I use to go all are horrible anymore.

I do and they were either 5 cents or 10 cents depending on the candy and at the little corner store if you bought 5 you got 1 free. Of course a bottle of soda/soft drink/coke was also 8 cents warm or .10 cents cold.

Yes, It is sad everything has not only gone up in price but shrunk in size.

since I need/use/want things I dont bother looking at the prices and worrying or pissing myself off about it all. I just shrug and buy it

I buy generic brands to avoid these ploys. Not that they're ALWAYS the cheapest, but they are usually equivalent in quality/quantity at a lower price.

This is why it keeps going up & up & up.
