Getting new friend for bantam question

Well, as many of you already know, I have a silkie and a mille fleur d'uccle that I plan to keep in the house. However, now that we are putting up a coop at FIL's house.... I'd like to move the silkie out to the coop, but keep my mille here. My question is this.....

They are very close. How closely do chickens bond with each other? Will it break their little hearts to seperate them? Will my little mille have a hard time bonding to a new friend? I plan on getting some other smaller breed bantam to live here with her.

Any ideas or tips on this????

They can bond, but most will forget after a while. Any new friends will have a little scuffle to see who's top and who's not. They may pace and call for a few days, or not at all. Depends on the birds.
