Hi
I've got a small ornamental pond that I fill up for my ducks (probably 5 feet long, couple of feet deep). There is no aeration....I usually just empty and refill cause you know - ducks!

However this year.....mosquito larvae seem to breed super fast...I was wondering what I could use to treat the water that would be safe for the ducks. I've heard vegetable oil...dishwashing soap....any ideas?

thanks

The ducks aren't just eating them up?

Do you have power nearby that you can put something in the pond to aerate it?

I would consider minnows or goldfish - before you say "but the ducks will eat them," I think so too, but at the same time, if you place an upside-down milk crate in the pond, the fish could escape into that. Would the crate be a hazard for the ducks? Just thinking out loud, here.
