So if he is now an addict, does that make you a chick dealer or a chick pusher?Yea, crazy chicken lady, that's meWhat's funny is that my boyfriend moved in about a week & a half ago & I already have him just as hooked. I didn't find a chicken enabler, I created a fellow addict
He was sitting here next to me on the bed this morning with "HIS" chick Maxi sitting on his chest & then in his hand. He would flip her on her back in his hand & say "dead chicken" & she would close her eyes & go limp. She's 2 weeks old & he has her trained to play dead already
As for that table, here something like that would cost a fortune!!! It's absolutely gorgeous. I love it & I'm jealous! Now you really DO need to build those cottages for me & Sally.
As for the quail, if you head this way to get the puppy from Sally, I can hook you up with quail & Rainbow layers BOTH![]()

Cortunix are a good choice for meat you can eat them at 6 weeks but I find they tend to fill out especally the girls if you give them another few weeks but its up to you. They also lay well so if you always have 4 hens and a roo you will always have eggs to eat, feed back to them for protien and calcuium and to hatch whenever you want more birds. In 10 days you can get at least 30 eggs so you could hatch a new meat supply from your few little birds every 10 days if you wanted to.
Good golly! That is the most amazing view... the ocean, the palm trees - - I would never, ever get tired of looking at that!![]()

Your chicks look great! What a wonderful assortment of fluffy-butts! And your coop! Wow! You have some very lucky chooks there!
its local. its 1m high and 30m long rolls - 39 inches x 100ft and costs about 50 dollars. its polyester and is the only thing to stave off rustI really like the green netting! Is that something specific to the island or did you take it in? Everything just looks GREAT! And thank you again for sharing your adventure.
I think I put in their somewhere that I got a agricultural release to transport the eggs from manila to Bacolod. There are requirements but you can set up quarantine on your location and a vet draws blood on the chicks after they hatch. Currently my chicks are in an isolated out building.
I also vaccinated them for mareks and will put NCD vaccine in their water next week. I will wait to do pox vaccination until I get back as it requires dome technique. I would hate to he wiped outburst a preventable illness.
I have added blue egg makers to the list. I am in discussion with a local OC batorholic that is doing a autosexong project with creme legbars. I will try to get some EE as well.
So many breeds and such a small golf bag.
