Mr. Oz - your family pix are beautiful. Has Mrs. Oz made a guest appearance on this
forum yet or is she camera shy? My husband recalls his one and only visit to the
Phillipines when he was a young boy. He went in toe with his mother and two brothers.
He remembers being there for a month or more experiencing a typhoon, pig roast
for his birthday, baths outside in a metal tub and learning lots of dirty words.
He has special memories. Your photos are amazing.

Oz you ever think of trying to get some Jumbo Cornish x Rock eggs from a hatchery? I wouldn't do it in the summer,(they poop a lot, poop plus heat equal smell really bad and the birds cant take the heat) but your winter would be doable. It would be for just a meat bird since the chance of them living to reproductive size is slim/requiring special diet controls. We did some and harvested at around 13 weeks and they dressed out at about 11lbs.

i can buy meaties there in feed stores. they have no real place in my plan at this stage. i am not in a rush to eat the birds. we have 18 roosters to eat from the last run. there will be double that next time. thats enough chicken adobo

and thats why, my dear friend, i could never live in the snow states.

I once had a house in PA that I was renovating. I parked the car up near the house and had 200 ft of snow to shovel. The next day, instead of parking closer to to the road, I had to do it all again.

unless it's over a foot of snow i just put the ol toyota in 4x4 & head to the street
i gave a friend of mine an old plow i had so he now plows me out for nothing problem solved
