Getting the flock out of here - a diary of a crazy chicken man

Its 538am on Tuesday morning. Time to do a quick check on the incubators and give Bernie some final reassurance before heading out to meet the social workers regarding our adoption process.

No need to apologize Oz.  We all know that this is a short visit home, and spending time with your family is priority number one.  That, and the crummy internet service must make posting the last thing on your list of priorities.

I'm so happy that you were able to get the second batch of imigrant eggs set and can't wait to see how Bernie does with his new charges.  How exciting for him and his lovely family.  I bet they are going to love being the caretakers of the hatch.

Enjoy the time you have left with your beautiful wife and children.  We can hear all about your trip when you get back to the states.

Wishing you safe travels on your return flight.

getting ready for Easter... I used to do this with my mom when I was a kid, now I am passing the tradition to my kiddos. Good old fashioned egg coloring

Happy Easter BYC friends:)
We did the same. I remember the Carnaval and we started saving them to next year.
Naah, those are boiled eggs Right? Ours were filled with confeti and harina and glued with engrudo. I'll post you a pic later.

We do that too :) "cascarones" big tradition in husband's family. I'm not big on getting attacked with flour but the kids love it.

I just learned about the confetti filled eggs this year.
One of my co-workers was filling about 4 dozen empty egg
shells and covering them with crepe paper glued over the hole
in the shell. I can't wait to see her photos of her children playing with them.
Sounds like great memories. I will have to introduce this
to my grandson next year. I Love sharing different cultures
traditions.
