Time is getting closer. Confirmed eggs are mounting. Deliveries on wed and thursday. Egg runs on Tuesday and Wed evenings.

I have too many eggs for the golf bag. It maxes out at about 140.

I may try using a bicycle box. Its oversized for xray and I am allowed to exchange one of my luggage for a boxed bicycle.

I have not had that issue - 150 degree soapy water.

My mother has nightmares from processing ducks though.

The hatch better go better. I have to hit the ground running. Little time for teaching

US TSA will open it, probably chuckle as they test the 20 USPS boxes inside it for residual.

Hey Oz piggy and the gang just jumped in to catch up on the thread been busy down here on the equator. Just to keep you up to date Oz the immigrant eggs head into lock down tonight we have 39 out of 80 going into day 18 it's sad to say all that all 18 of my light Sussex eggs were a bust all but one were culled on day 9 candling all clear except one and it's a iffy the shell quality was also horrid it was like shining light through a sponge but the main goal was the GNH and slw and they are looking good so far ( all I need is a trio ) right OZ lol so fly safe my friend and good luck with set #3 I hope all goes well tell Bernie and fam keep up the good wrk and a Hi to the mrs , I'm already working on eggs for my July trip a rerun of the light Sussex and I have a friend trying to locate coronations as well so it's gonna be round #2 of operation over fowl so for now fly safe ,,,,,,,

What is the relative humidity outside down there?

I am busy trying to work out how to position all the eggs on turners so that they will go into baskets to hatch and they will be easy to distinguish. I have Black Australorps, Orpingtons, Andalusians, Jerseys and Copper Marrans. I will put RIR and barred rocks in the turners with them, then leg band all the black chicks.

I was going to use a Bicycle box to ship (larger capacity than a golf bag and within my allowable free luggage allowance) but it may cause problems at the other end.

Lol I hear ya Oz I dealt with the same on my first run but it was a trial by fire the July run will be much smoother as you already know the first time u fly 5000 plus miles with eggs is like driving at night without headlights lol as far as the humidity goes I don't have to deal with the tropical issues like you as you know we are at the exact same lat but I live high above sea level over a mile high 5630 to be exact so I have a ambient 35-40 % during the dry season so my bators have been running 32-35 % during incubation and I set up the second as a hatcher Thursday and have it holding at 65% for the last three days so if there are any quitters it won't be due to incubator conditions I don't think only time will tell I have done it all by the Sally sunshine book lol with a few adjustments for good mesure all my air cells at set looked text book no saddles no detachments so here's fingers crossed I get at least two breeding trios outta the lot

if the air cells are that good, i predict 24 or more hatched chicks
