Getting the flock out of here - a diary of a crazy chicken man

We are up to 100 hatched quail. There are about 15 more heading that way.

Fumigation of eggs, incubator and egg room with formaldehyde gas followed by use of dehumidifier may have done the trick.

When the hatch is over, eggtopsying whats left will be very telling.

Chicken eggs are due Wednesday

Talking of the chicken mission... If we collect T shirts etc for the orphans will there be space in the luggage of the people going to take them?

I can collect them from you anytime even if not on the "mission" run.

Even if I dont have space on the trips, I send over boxes via sea freight every few months.

Most useful are summer clothes, sandals, shoes and jeans. All kid sizes and adults up to medium male will very quickly find homes. I even take over my size - there are old fashion singer treddlies there that can whip them into usable clothes. The clothes too big or in excess of the orphanage's needs will be given to the local department od social welfare to give to the neediest locals.

Thanks for your generousity.
