I wouldn't be surprised if the boots are the boyfriends. The boots look too loose on her. I didn't notice them, cause I was looking at something else, that boys face. Creepy!!! Oh, by the way, there is no way I would stay in that house! I would be way too skeered.

I have been taught that ghosts aren't real, similar to the debate that was starting a few pages back. I don't think I've ever seen a ghost, but I have had way too many 'weird' and unexplained things happen to me to say that there is no such thing.
I had questioned my brother once about it, since we did grow up in the same houses. He was a minister, first of a Christian church, then an associate pastor for a pentacostal church. The explanation of ghosts that he gave me was that they are most assuredly real, but they aren't what we think. His definition was that Satan and all 'his' angels (demons) roam the earth constantly, and can take on any form that they want. So if you think you see Aunt May or whomever, it is really just the devil trying to scare you, or trick you. Works for me, they scare the bejesus out of me!! I'm done reading this thread (I think), people keep showing that pic again, and it gives me the creeps everytime.

Oh, and to whomever it was that mentioned the boy's eye (there is NO WAY that is a girl!!), I did notice that it was discolored the second time I looked at that pic!

Nah..i dont believe in the devil..and i never saw a ghost either. But some things just can NOT be explained. With this priest i metioned earlier, he had been in this nursing home for a couple of years. Actually he was the first priest i had ever had in a regular nursing home...i always thought they had special places for priests to go in their elder years..
hu.gif
but i know he wasnt thrown out of the church or anything because he still had his black vestment priest outfit and he would wear it sometimes and even be taken out to do services sometimes for his old church followers . SOooo. anyways...this very nice Father passed away. And then a lady moved into the room. Well one night i was working and she rang her bell. Myself and another girl went in the room. She says "Get that man out of my room!" And she points to a chair by a window that the Father ALWAYS sat in...so now i'm getting a bit creeped out..but not to worried...So i try to explain to her that there is no man in her room...and she gets mad and offended that i dont believe her. She says "Yes, there IS a man in here! right there! (pointing at chair again) Hes wearing all black! " *<<I had asked her what the man was wearing* Okay...that did it for me...i KNOW he was there...and i even said something like..'Father...its time to go now..its okay to go. Your scaring this lady now. Go in peace.' Listen people, i'm not a nut job..(believe it or not..
tongue.png
) i know that he was in that room...this lady had no idea that a priest had lived there before her.. and that he often wore his black priest outfit AND that he ALWAYS sat in that chair! UGH! As i said...some things can never be explained..

edited to try to fix my spelling..

I hope he doesn't come through the picture and get into my house.....I'm using my brothers setting on a Lap Top we share...so I saved the pic and saved it as his back ground...should give him a nice shock when he sees the pic....ha ha ha ha ha..I saved the one that had been zoomed in.....creeeeeeeepy

wont he just be like "why is there a picture of a cute girl with a peeping tom in the window on my computer?"

i would just assume there was a boy inside if no one had told me it was supposed to be a ghost.

And also..In this same nursing home (which the owners even admitted to) they think it was built on an old Indian burial ground. (dont know if that was ever found out for sure or not..) Anyways..i worked there for about 15 years..and i had heard the rumers about patients hearing children with in 3 days of someone dying on the unit. (i KNOW! it sounds nutty!..i agree!) BUT..yet again..i SAW it!( only one time myself though) Lena B. (i dont want to give full names for respect of their families) Anyways, She rang her bell this night and was all upset.." Tell those kids to shut up out in the hall!" This was in the wee hours in the morning...the quiet time in between rounds and doing paper work (anyone who has worked this job, you know what i mean, basically we were all half asleep and taking turns answering call lights)..no one was in the halls at all! There was only 4 of us on the whole unit with 50 something patients. So, again i say to this resident (who was with it)..'Lena, what kids?' She gets upset with me because i cant hear them.. " They're running in the hall and playing!" I tell her that i'll talk to them and tell them to quiet down...( to try to help her calm down and try to get her back to sleep) and yup..you guessed it folks...a lady DID pass away on that unit the next day. Say what ya want...again..i didnt believe..until these things actually happend to me. Did Lena know that for many years patients have been known to hear children playing before someone dies on that unit ? UM..NO...Call me a nut job if ya want....

Every aspect of life has ways of looking at the unexplained or unexplainable. no one is right no one is wrong, its all in how someone percieves things.

The house we lived in after moving up from Fla was very active.
We were taught to ignore the noises, ignore what we saw and it would go away.
We were for ever hearing someone walking up the stairs, or get to a certain step and feel a cold spot, just kept walking past it. but someof the happenings in later years were hard to ignore.

Like sitting for coffee discussing a person who wanted to rent the upper apt, and the ceiling light started swinging back and forth , not gently hard enough to throw the light around the kitchen,( it was day time) 3 of us sat thre and watched it, I ran up the stairs( not smart in that house) to see who was up there and walking around, No one was.
there was 1 way in and out, they would have to go past me and my friends.
One night shortly after I was married, in the middle of the night , A dog was breathing in my face, I slapped it away and told it to go lay down, Husband asks who I am telling to go lay down and to not breathe in my face, and I said derned dog. huby says, um we dont have a dog. oh yeah right, I go back to sleep..

Years later, my mother was in the hospital we had just gotten home it was very late, everyone went to bed and my by then ex husband slept on the couch.
I was woken at 4 am by the tv, stupid jerk turn the tv down ( you could hear and see what appeared to be the tv flickering ) people are trying to sleep, volume went down I went back to sleep.
I got up at 6 and he was up,, so tore into him about turning the tv on with the volume so loud, for crying out loud.
He looks at me and says " I never woke up at all last night and I didnt turn the tv on" poor guys was very confused. I wasnt, I said get the phone, have to call the hospital,
Called the hospital and they said they were about to call me, and could I get there as soon as possible. My mother wasnt going to hold on for much longer.
I no more than got to her room and she passed away.
Those are only a couple of the weird experiences I had at that house,.
I have since sold the house and the people who live there now have had a few strange things happen.
I had to laugh when I was selling the house they were fully informed that the place was active and they scoffed like many people do, wasnt too long I got a call from the wife, telling me about the footsteps and the tall man who walks around the barn. LOL.
So unless something happens there are going to be non believers, skeptics etc. all I can say to that is, be sure to wear your depends if you ever get into a truely active house, your going to need them.

Ghosts are not demons, demons are not ghosts, but both to me exsist.
I do not work for nor activly go searching them out, but I have been in many peoples houses where I can tell them when there is something active. I can feel them and sometimes can get a good sense of who they were.
I cant comment on whether the boy in the window is an apperition or not, its a photo. I would love though to be able to go to the house and feel for myself.

Man i tell ya that paralizing/not being able to talk is what mainly gets you ain't it? We've lived in this house for years and before that we just saw a man that would stand in the kitchen and stare up at the clock on the wall for minutes (unless someone was to be sitting a angle to see him) then he would walk down the hall into my parents bedroom and disappear, this happened for years and mom always saw him walk past.

About two or so years ago i was lying in my bed and awoke to the feeling of someone gently grabbing my arm and a woman quietly saying "Daniel", i open my eyes and try to move.. Nope.. I try to scream just to see if i could, i wasn't terribly scared because i figured it was just a dream or something, nope.. If it made any noise it was like a faint gargle. It feels like 100 pounds is sitting on my whole body, i try and force myself to sit up but can't... Keep trying and then give it all my might BAM sit straight up in the bed and and feel someone let go of my arm, exactly 3AM on the clock...

Then i got invited to go to a Church with my grandparents and went because a boy had come down that went there and he wanted me to go... Since i was new they gave me a knitted cross, and i hung it at the foot of my bed facing me. Have not had a problem since but last year..

A picture that had been hanging in the same place since at least 2001, jumped 3 feet off the wall and cracked itself on a table.. By itself.. Around 3AM (think it was 3:10). I lie in bed and think "Get up.. Or leave it" lie there few more minutes (3:30.) get up, notice the picture had fallen and say "Well then" look at the floor and a glass ash tray (we don't smoke but own one?) which was sitting on the TV cabnit was tossed into the middle of the living room and lying upside down. Pick up the ashtray say "Well the ghost are back.." the next day (or maybe two days).. I heard a faint phone ringing i thought and people talking. But when i would really listen it'd stop so i figured just my mind, but walk outside and stay out a bit... I was home alone. Walk back inside because it was so cold walk into the kitchen and make lunch (frozen dinner)..

Walk away when BAM "Bounce bounce bounce" behind me a metal bowl had fallen on the floor which sat there for a night before.. And i didn't touch/get near it nor was it on the edge and i was a good 3-4 feet away before it got tossed off.. Stuff like that only happens though during the winter time.

ETA: forgot to mention also around last year about the time i felt the hand (maybe a week early), and the picture got thrown i slept in the livingroom on the couch, and when i woke up my pants legs were up to my knees, and 5 claw marks on each leg was from knee to ankle.. Not deep marks but they BURNED everytime you would touch them or something for days.
